Spiritual Adolescence, by Steve Highlander
Versions: Free eBook, printable booklet, read online 8.5×11 PDF
The Bible portrays our spiritual life in terms of physical life.  We are born-again spiritually, we feed on milk (basic Christian doctrine), we are expected to grow up into strong adults for God, finally becoming mature men or women of God. A part of that growing process is adolescence; that backward in-between-time when we are not what we were and yet not what we are going to be. Adolescence is formative and transformative. During this time young people search to discover their identity and their purpose and place in the world. Spiritually, things are no different. We all go through Spiritual adolescence from time to time. Adolescence has its pitfalls and problems. In this message, you will discover how to cooperate with the Spirit of God to make the journey successful.

The Two Mysteries of the Last Days, by Steve Highlander
Versions: Free eBook, printable booklet, read online
The Bible tells us two spiritual “mysteries” are playing out in the days in which we live.  The “Mystery of Godliness,” and the “Mystery of Iniquity.”  While these mysteries have clashed through the 2000 years of the church age, there is coming a day soon in which every person on earth must decide which mystery they are going to yield to.

Essential Church, by Steve Highlander
Versions: Free eBook, printable booklet, read online
Thousands are leaving the institutional church, but they are not reconnecting with the Body of Christ.  In this teaching, Steve takes a close look at the Body of Christ and shows how it is essential to God’s eternal purpose, His plan for reaching the world and in our own lives.  God did not ever intend for us to so stand-alone Christianity.  He chose to express Himself through a “many-member Body.”  Steve shows clearly and scripturally that God has called believers to be connected, but not in the traditional sense of the Church.

Two Anointings for Everyone, by Steve Highlander
Many people have a common misunderstanding about anointing.  We might hear someone say, “Gee the pastor was really anointed today.”  As if certain people are anointed at certain times for special things. The Bible tells us about two anointings for every Christian.  This booklet will change the way you think about anointing.

Be The Church by Steve Highlander
Versions: Free eBook, printable booklet, read online
Ever get tired of “Going to Church?”  As a pastor or church leader do you find it hard to keep people interested and active?  The New Testament word for Church is Ekklesia, and it means “Called Out Ones.”  The Church was never someplace you went, but something that you are.  The Church of Jesus Christ is called out of some things and called into some things. This booklet points out the difference between going to church and being the Church. A challenging message that will have you and your Church looking at “church” in a whole different light.

Scriptural Church Government By Steve Highlander
A crisis exists in the Church today.  Systems of Church government have crept away from Biblical patterns and, as a result, multitudes of churches and the people who attend them are struggling for spiritual survival.  This booklet looks at the offices and ministries revealed in the Bible and how they are to operate.  This study is specifically written for church leaders who are looking for answers to problems in the Church today.  The author asks a pointed question of every person reading the booklet, “Are you doing what God called you to do, where God called you to do it?”  A challenging study with some fresh insight, combined with a prophetic call to allow Jesus to bring the Body of Christ together.

Eternal Security or Once-Saved-Always-Saved? Can a Christian lose his Salvation? By Steve Highlander
Versions: Free eBook, printable booklet, read online
Another controversial subject in the Body of Christ. Some people teach that once a person accepts Christ that there is nothing that can cause that person to go to hell, no matter what they believe or do afterward.  Others teach that if a Christian dies with some unconfessed sin in their life they will go to hell.  Somewhere between these two extremes is a biblical answer.  Salvation never has and never will be based on your personal righteousness; it has always been based on faith.  A person isn’t saved because they stop sinning, they stop sinning because they are saved.  Becoming a Christian and remaining a Christian has to do with FAITH.  Can a person lose faith?  If so, they can lose their salvation since it is based on faith.  I can almost guarantee you haven’t heard this message before.  Eye-opening and thought-provoking and well worth reading, even if you disagree.

Understanding Spiritual Rest By Steve Highlander
Without a doubt, the issue of the Sabbath is one of the most controversial subjects in the Bible.  The church is divided by those who insist that the Sabbath be strictly kept on Saturday and those who change it to Sunday or ignore it all together. However, The Sabbath, like most Old Testament principles, has a spiritual fulfillment that those on both sides of the argument have missed. The Sabbath principle wasn’t about taking a day off at all, it was much deeper than that.  A new and refreshing look at a beautiful spiritual principle that you need in your life in these last days.  Guaranteed to make you think twice about what you thought you knew about the Sabbath.

Spiritual Circumcision By Steve Highlander
Old Testament circumcision was a sign of God’s covenant.  In the New Testament, we are told that there is a “circumcision made without hands,” and that our hearts need to be circumcised.  This booklet deals with our need to allow the Spirit of God to circumcise our hearts.  By looking at the picture of circumcision in the Old Testament, you can understand the process in the New Testament.  A challenging message for the 21st-century Church.

True Sabbath By Steve Highlander 23 Pages
Versions: Free eBook, read online
The issue of keeping the Sabbath is a controversial subject for the church today. Some claim keeping the Seventh Day Sabbath is an eternal command from God. Others change Saturday to Sunday. Some say it is unnecessary. What if there were another principle of the Sabbath that they all missed? The principle of the Sabbath in the Bible is much larger than the argument over which day of the week to observe. There are a number of Sabbath days in addition to the weekly Seventh Day Sabbath. Every seventh year was to be a Sabbath year and every fiftieth year was a Sabbath year of Jubilee. In The Truth Sabbath, the author presents a third view of the Sabbath that has nothing to do with the day of the week. He presents Sabbath as a spiritual principle that finds its true fulfillment in and through Jesus Christ. The first spiritual Sabbath a person can experience is salvation from dead works. We no longer have to work to earn salvation but can come to God through faith in the work of Jesus Christ on the cross. Additionally, a Christian can enter Sabbath rest—not weekly—but daily, as we bring our problems and needs to Jesus to work out for us. “Cast all your cares on me, for I care for you,” is the essence of true Sabbath. We are told in the book of Hebrews, “There, therefore, remains a rest to the people of God” (Hebrews 4:9). In this teaching, you will discover the spiritual rest you have been looking for.

Why I do not Believe in a Pre-Tribulation Rapture By Steve Highlander
Versions: Free eBook,  read online
The second coming of Christ is a hot topic in the Church. There are several major doctrinal belief systems. Some might think that if you do not believe in the pre-trib rapture you don’t believe in the second coming. Nothing could be further from the truth. Jesus is coming back at the last trumpet, with the shout of the archangel. In this booklet, I examine the issue of the “rapture. all of those who have died in Christ for the past 2000 years will be raised from the dead at the “First resurrection.” Then those who are alive and remain will be caught up in the air to meet Jesus. That has never been the question. The only question is timing. When will that occur? Before, during, or after the tribulation period. In this booklet, I look at all of the scriptures associated with the second coming. Additionally, I discuss several other concepts. We are told there are two physical resurrections and two judgments separated by 1000 years. If we can determine the timing of the “First Resurrection” we can determine when Jesus is coming back. Prepare to take a deep dive into Eschatology.
